AMW was founded in 1995 in the heart of southwest Sydney — born from a community that wanted its own weddings on its own terms. A four-piece band became a six-piece, became the band every Lebanese-Australian family in the city knew by name.
By the late 90s, the band had become a specialist — a bilingual wedding act that could walk a zaffé into the ballroom and play a Whitney Houston classic by the second hour. That fluency, more than anything, is what built the business.
We never tried to be everything. We just tried to be undeniable in our room.
The 2000s opened a second door. Touring Arab artists landed in Australia — Tamer Hosny, Melhem Zein, Fares Karam, Wael Jassar — and AMW became the promoter the diaspora trusted to put them on stages they actually deserved. Eight artists. Eight national tours.
In 2026 we are opening the next two floors: Levant for bespoke wedding production at the highest end, and UltraHabibi for the warehouse generation that grew up in our weddings and now wants its own night.
